Jan 19, 2002 Dear Mr. West, I am very interested in your web page, and in the availability of your book.

My grandfather's family lived in Pamber Heath, Tadley area, and are mentioned a few times in your web page. (Joseph Wells - my g. grandfather, and Joseph Monarch Wells, my grandfather). Joseph Wells Sr. married Elizabeth Saunders, and their youngest child (now 93) still lives in the area. I live in Canada, and I thought I would ask you before I ordered your book, if they are mentioned in the book itself. I wondered also, being new to genealogy, how I would find the excerpts from the newspapers mentioned, if at all possible.

Nov 16, 2001 Re: Pamber Heath Book. Dear Raymond: I've probably got one of the first copies sold!  My husband and I were in Pamber about a month ago on a visit from Canada and Neil came home with a few! His parents are Ron and Louise Martin who live on Burney Bit. Neil was thrilled to bits to see photos of his grandparents in there, and a photo of his now deceased aunt Beryl Martin (pictured right around 1928 in her little car). She was the war bride that we originally came out to Canada to in 1973.

I'm an extremely keen family historian so of course was very pleased to see the book. You've done an excellent job!  In fact I belong to a family history computer newsgroup for Hampshire - if you'd like me to plug your book I certainly will. Can people overseas place orders? (Yes).
